Meet Nancy
Nancy combines her background in pastoral ministry along with her education and training as a licensed marriage and family therapist to create a safe environment for individuals, couples and families to address personal and relational issues with sensitivity and compassion.
After working for 6 years at Community Presbyterian Counseling Center, Nancy opened her own private practice with an emphasis on working with couples. She uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a highly effective attachment based approach for working with couple relational conflicts. She has completed EFT’s Core Skill Training along with other course work to support the relational health of her couples. Additionally, she is trained as a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) and has experience and training to address the devastating impact on the relational bond following sexual betrayal due to sexually compulsive or addictive behaviors.
In her work with individuals, Nancy draws upon other evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, Internal Family Systems (IFS,) Dialetical Behavioral Training (DBT).

She and her husband of 35 years are long-time Bay Area residents and parents of two adult children and one grandchild. Nancy completed undergraduate degree at U.C. Berkeley and received an M.Div from San Francisco Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Holy Names University where she was a member of Chi Psi honor society. In her free time, Nancy enjoys taking her rescue dog on walks with friends, gardening, cooking and reading.
